The body of Mrs. Mheidiyeh Saleh Hamad al Dakhil, from al Mouhasan city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was discovered by other local residents in her home in the city’s al Bouswaid neighborhood on August 16, 2021, bearing signs of gunshot wounds.
Although the SNHR is unable to identify the party responsible for the woman’s murder, the area is controlled by Syrian regime forces. Despite the controlling forces bearing responsibility for revealing the perpetrator’s identity, they have not launched any investigation which increases the suspicion of their involvement in the killing.
