Civilian killed by the blast of a landmine of so far unknown origin in S. Idlib on June 21

A man from al Hamdaniya village in the south of Idlib governorate, named as Mar’i Hasan al Fayyoumi, who worked as a shepherd, was killed on June 21, 2021, when a landmine of so for unknown origin exploded near al Khuain village in the southern suburbs of the governorate which is controlled by Syrian regime forces.
SNHR calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, to reveal the sites of planted landmines and to remove them. We have documented hundreds of deaths and injuries resulting from landmine explosions, which will continue to constitute a real threat to people, particularly children, for several years to come.
