Two civilians, one of them a woman, were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in al Sh-heil city in Deir Ez-Zour on Apr 17

A woman, named as Watin Muhammad Ali, and a man named as Muhammad Rashid al Mahmid, who worked for Al Berr and Al Ihsan charity organization, were shot dead on April 17, 2021, by unidentified gunmen in al Sh-heil city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate which is controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks of this nature which target and kill civilians and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations into all such incidents and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
