Civilians killed and others injured by blast of a car bomb of unknown origin in Tal Halaf town in Hasaka suburbs on September 24

At least three civilians, including a child, were killed and ten others were injured on September 24, 2020 when a car bomb of so-far unknown origin exploded in Tal Halaf town which is administratively a part of Ras al Ein city in the northwestern suburbs of Hasaka governorate. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.

SNHR condemns all killings which target civilians and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition towards democracy and the rule of law, implemented according to a strict timetable.
