A man named as Abboud al Afeis, from al Twamiya village which is administratively a part of al Bseira city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in al Sabha village in the eastern suburbs of the governorate on September 5, 2020. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all attacks which target civilians through indiscriminate killing and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control and conduct investigation and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without achieving a political transition toward democracy implemented according to a strict timetable.
