This photo shows smoke rising over several areas of Balyoun village in the southern suburbs of Idlib governorate on September 2 as a result of Syrian regime forces’ shelling of the village with a missile launcher which caused severe damage to several residential buildings.
SNHR notes that Bayloun is one of the areas included in a ceasefire agreement reached following consultations between the Turkish and Russian presidents, which came into effect on March 6, 2020. Despite this agreement, the Syrian regime forces have not stopped ground attacks on the area, resulting in further displacement.
