Syrian regime forces carried out arrests at a checkpoint near al Razi Bridge in the middle of Aleppo City, on August 28.
SNHR has documented the arrest of 5 civilians as they were taken to the State Security Branch in Aleppo City.
The arrests weren’t perpetrated based on a legal warrant issued by a court, and the families of the arrested individuals were also not informed. The detainees’ phones were confiscated as they weren’t allowed to communicate with their families or a lawyer. SNHR fears that they will be tortured and they will become forcible disappeared as has happened with 85% of the detainees.
