Blast from IED of unknown origin damages KKS office in Afrin city, Aleppo suburbs on June 20

An IED of unknown origin placed under a car opposite the office of the Syrian Independent Kurds Association on al Villas Street in Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate exploded on June 20, 2020, partially damaging the office’s furniture and external cladding on June 20. SNHR is still trying to contact witnesses to obtain details of the incident.

SNHR condemns all killings which target civilians and calls on the governing forces in each area to bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and to conduct investigations and reveal their findings to the public. Stability will not be achieved in Syria without first achieving political transition tow
