Omar Muhammad Ghannoum, born in 1992, a college student at faculty of Medicine in Tishreen University in Latakia city, from al Hamidiya village which is administratively a part of al Qsair city in the western suburbs of Homs governorate, was arrested on May 1, 2013, by Syrian regime forces from Tishreen University. On January 17, 2020, his family was informed that he is registered in Civil Registry as dead on November 24, 2014, probably due to torture in a detention center.
